TAKUROMAN exhibited the work "Feel the Heat. - Thermography" at the 30th International Art Exhibition for Peace in Paris (organized by QUALIART Inc.) held at UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) in Paris from June 20 to 23, 2022.
Photo of the exhibition venue.
The work "Feel the Heat. - Thermography" was created with the theme that heat is something we want to feel rather than measure, and with the desire to reconsider the sense of distance between people once again, amidst the calls for social distance due to the Corona disaster, the use of machines to measure body temperature, and the normalization of transparent partitions. The physical works are made by lenticular printing, which means that the colors change depending on the angle.
I hope that the message of this exhibition on the theme of peace and SDGs will be conveyed to the public.

The following is a quote from the exhibition's main purpose by the organizer.

"We are pleased to announce that the International Peace Art Exhibition will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2022. In the 30 years of our activities, we have visited 30 cities in 20 countries, and we have had countless precious encounters and shared many moving moments.
Since the dawn of history, mankind has not succeeded in escaping from a world without war, and has been repeatedly struck by unprecedented disasters. However, we have held art exhibitions because we believe that art is a source of comfort and healing and that it can bring peace to the world. At the same time, we have been involved in various cultural activities such as courtesy visits to institutions, erection of monuments, planting of memorial trees, donation of wells and museums, and so on.
UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) is an international organization that looks at the world from a broad perspective for the sake of peace and education, and serves as a model for our activities. We are pleased to announce that this exhibition will be held at the UNESCO Paris Headquarters in France to mark the 30th anniversary of the organization. We are proud to be able to offer a unique opportunity for our exhibitors to celebrate with us in the best possible setting for a commemorative exhibition.
We are proud to present this exhibition in a spectacular way to show once again that the "search for peace through art" is a step towards the happiness of the world. We look forward to welcoming you to the exhibition."
