先週7月2-4日に開催されたクリエイターEXPOへの出展は無事に終了しました。今年で5回目となる参加でしたが、さまざまな新たな出会いがあり、また、知人・友人の方ともお会いすることができました。お忙しいところ、お越しいただきありがとうございました。

The world begins with a single line. Eventually, lines meet, take shape, give birth to meaning, and become a universe. It is your own story that continues endlessly. It doesn't matter what kind of line it is. line starts running, that is the beginning of everything.

Every time you desire, every time you move, something changes in the story.
It is like a living thing, a great spectacle that is freely written according to the ever-changing circumstances.
Now, let's tell a story in which you are the only main character.
Don't worry, the other main characters are with you.

TAKUROMAN participated in "Art Fair Digitoma 2022" held from December 23 (Fri.) to 27 (Tue.), 2022, at the historical Toma Family Residence in Nara City, Nara Prefecture. This work was shown on a special screen in the Toma Residence, at the satellite site "Nanigotoya" in Osaka, and in a 360°VR gallery on YouTube during the exhibition period.

DARUMAOTOSHI

Even if you think it's someone else's problem,
You may find yourself in the same situation tomorrow.
Today's winners become tomorrow's losers.
And vice versa.
The rules are changing by the minute.
No one can continue to look down on the high ground.
We load trust and trust,
and we will form an endless bond to side by side.
And if things collapse and fall apart,
we can start again from the beginning,
Just like a Darumaotoshi.

TAKUROMAN participated in #NFTCATTOKYO "Living with Cats Vol.10" held at POP UP SPACE on the 4th floor of Shibuya PARCO from November 18 to 27, 2022. This event featured 16 NFT crypto-artists, who are popular in Japan and abroad, selling digital art, illustrations, and videos created on the theme of cats as NFT art. This work was displayed on a digital monitor at the venue. A T-shirt and a tote bag featuring this work were also displayed at the exhibition.

The moment you look away, it will attack you with its fangs. Once you glare at it, you must never turn your eyes away from it. It is the weak heart that is targeted.

"METAVERSE BEGINS"

When I was in the early grades of elementary school, the NES made a spectacular debut. I think everyone was enthusiastic about it. We got together at a friend's house and many of us sat in front of the TV and played together. Since there were only two controllers, only two people could play, so the rest of us sat in the back and watched. Recently, people are saying that the era of the Metaverse is finally coming, but when I think back, our Metaverse started back then. The strange sense of unity we all felt looking at the same screen. The time we spent together in the same space. That was indeed the Metaverse.

"AGONY POKO-PEN"

Pokopen is a game that is too much fun. The player pokes the cop's back while saying "Pokopen Pokopen". The cop is spared if he guesses the last person who poked him. When the cop is poked with its eyes closed, a sense of tension is in the air, and the cop's concentration is heightened. Sometimes they are poked so hard that he faints in agony. When the game begins, everyone hides at once. The cop must find everyone who is hiding, but there is a risk of rescuing those he has caught while he is away from them. It is a brilliantly designed game that keeps both the hiding people and the cop on tenterhooks from beginning to end. I hope if my collection, "The Millennium Play," is like that.

"CHASE THE BALL!"

When I was in elementary school, after school my friends and I played dodgeball along the river in our neighborhood, and sometimes the ball fell into the river. We always went down to the riverbank and chase the flowing ball. The current was slow and we were usually able to pick it up before it drifted too far. Strangely, what I recall more than playing dodgeball is the memory of chasing the ball with friends. In the fast-paced days of adulthood, who am I chasing the ball with and what kind of ball am I chasing? I am sure it is those memories that I will recall later.

“The City”

A night drenched in tears will eventually dawn and a warm day will begin. The morning filled with love will soon pass, and the dark night will come again. Darkness and light repeat and repeat. How many sorrows and joys has this city received? The buildings standing against the sky are majestic and unwavering, pieces of the city's memory visible. I can feel, I’m not alone.
